Building Trust with Traditional Trade Partners
Mom-and-pop stores respond to respect, clear incentives, and materials that do not fight their limited shelf space.
Traditional trade partners often work long hours with family labor. Engagement that asks them to rearrange an entire aisle will fail. Focus on one fixture zone, one talking point, and one reward that is easy to understand.
Language and tone matter. Briefs should be practical, with photos of correctly set displays rather than abstract brand language. When possible, leave Thai-language staff cards near the product.
Consistency beats novelty. Returning on the promised date with the promised materials builds more goodwill than a single elaborate event that never repeats.
